Data Privacy Statement
1. ABOUT US
Meeting Kitchen LLC (www.meeting-kitchen.com) is a Swiss company that develops and markets solutions and online tools for structuring joint decision-making processes. Our tools support individuals or teams when they prepare, conduct and evaluate joint decision-making processes.
2. ADDED INSIGHT SELF-LEARNING
Added Insight Self-Learning is a web application (hereinafter referred to as the "application") with which companies and individuals can define, evaluate and then continuously strengthen their negotiation competence.
Added Insight Self-Learning is used in real life. By using this version of the application, individuals or teams can evaluate and analyze their effectiveness after real negotiations.
3. INTRODUCTION
It is important for us that you feel secure when using Added Insight Self-Learning. We would therefore like to let you know how we process your personal and operational data.
This Statement -in compliance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: EU Regulation 2016/679)- regulates the way we process the data and evaluations that you send to us when using Added Insight Self-Learning.
In this Statement, we make a distinction between "ordering customers" (i.e.:thetraining institutes or the academic institutions which purchase licenses from us for the use of the application) and "users" (the individual persons who use the application, such as yourself).
4. PRINCIPLES
We distinguish between personal data(first names, family names, e-mail addresses, IP addresses) and operational data(other personal data such as age, gender, language, occupation, function, etc. as well as the evaluations transmitted by the users).
To use Added Insight Self-Learning, the input of personal data is necessary. However, we only store your personal data for as long as you use the application. One month later, all personal data are irrevocably deleted.
Provided you have given your consent, operational data are stored on a longer-term basis for benchmarking and research purposes (see Art. 8 below).
All your evaluations are confidential and will only be shared or published in fully anonymized form.
Companies (e.g. your employer)and other interested parties (e.g. research institutions) who want to carry out benchmarking analysesare only provided with anonymized evaluation data. These data are also aggregated, so that the identity of the respectiveuser who submitted an evaluation cannot be derived under any circumstances.
5. TRANSMISSION AND STORAGE THE DATA
All data you submit are transmitted in accordance with the"Secure Hypertext Transmission Protocol" (HTTPS). The confidentialityand integrity of the data that circulate between your web-browser (e.g. on your smartphone) and the web-server mentioned below is therefore ensured.
We store your data on a server of the hosting firm Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG in Germany (www.mittwald.de; hereinafter called Mittwald or hoster).
In order to ensure compliance with the EU's data protection regulation in the context of the relationship between Mittwald and Meeting Kitchen, we have concluded a corresponding Data Protection Agreement for the Provision of Hosting Services with this hosting firm (dated May 28, 2018).
6. DATA TRANSMISSION AND STORAGE
At the very beginning, the ordering customer registers you in the application by providing the following information: first name, family name and e-mail address(i.e.: the personal data).
Immediately before the start of the validity of the end-user license, you will receive an e-mail with a link generated by the application. After opening this e-mailand clicking on the link, you will be invited to fill out a profile in the application.
In addition to the personal data already filled in by the ordering customer who registered you, the profile to be completed contains the following information:
- Your age group
- Your gender
- Your field of activity in your company or organization
- Your level of responsibility
- The field of activity of your company or organization
By filling out a profile, you agree that youranonymized profile and evaluations(i.e.: the operational data) will be stored on a longer-term basis for benchmarking and research purposes.
During the period of validity of the end-user license, we store your personal and operational data.
After eachnegotiation, you can fill in your evaluation in the application. Since yourprevious evaluationsare still stored, you can retrieve them with the help of the application and compare the results.
However, after the end of the validity period of the end-user license, you will no longer have access to your evaluations and evaluation analyses.
Your personal data will be irrevocably deletedone month after the end of the period of validity of the end-user license.
We keep your operational data (i.e.: anonymized profile and anonymized evaluations) on a longer-term basis for benchmarking and research purposes.
7. COOPERATION WITH PARTNERS
Meeting Kitchen does not commercialize the application itself, but in cooperation with partners – i.e.:training institutes and academic institutions.These partners put Added Insight Self-Learning at the disposal of their clients (the end-users).
Each partner has its own version of the application, which is based on the basic version. We provide them with these different versions. All versions are hosted on our behalf and under our responsibility at Mittwald.
Meeting Kitchen is responsible for data protection in each and every case.
8. USE OF DATA STORED ON A LONGER-TERM BASIS
For benchmarking or research purposes, we provide interested third parties on request with completely anonymized operational data sets that were collected with Added Insight Self-Learning.
Examples:
- Benchmarking: A company which has put Added Insight Self-Learning at the disposal of their procurement officers wants to know how their team compares with all other individuals working in the purchasing field in a particular industry who have used the application.
- Research: Researchers want to compare the evaluations of users working in purchasing and in sales – or of men and women, of users of different age groups, etc.
Benchmarking analyses related to a group of fewer than five users are not provided.
9. STORAGE OF OTHER DATA
Added Insight Self-Learning is a website. Therefore, we or Mittwald also collect the following data, which has not yet been mentioned:
- IP address of your device; date, time, pages accessed; logs, status code and other purely technical data.
- Cookies
Cookies are small packets of data sent by a web-server to a browser.
We use both so-called "session cookies" (i.e.: temporary cookie files, which are erased when you close your browser)and "persistent cookies" (i.e.: cookie files that stay in one of your browser's subfolders until you delete them manually or your browser deletes them based on the duration period contained within the persistent cookie's file). Persistent cookie fileshelp websites remember your information and settings when you visit them in the future.
